Workbook Inspector

The 'Workbook Inspector' provides information for each Workbook sheet type within a Workbook. The following information tabs are provided:

  • Sheets
  • Columns
  • Functions

Activate the 'Workbook Inspector' by clicking on "View" in the top menu and then click on "Inspector". The 'Workbook Inspector' appears on the right side and provides the according information in the tabs.

Sheet Inspector#

General Information#

The 'Sheet Inspector' provides information of:

  • sheet type and sheet name
  • source and reference Workbook
  • applied operations, e.g. sort arguments: by column; 'ascending' or 'descending'
  • column information, e.g. column data type, column name, applied formulas
  • description

Sheet Type#

  • Sheet type is displayed

Source#

  • Left-clicking the ImportJob Path opens the artifact details of the job import/ data link in a new tab.

Sort Arguments#

  • Sorting is displayed as 'Column name': 'Ascending' or 'Descending'.

Columns#

  • Search for a column in the search bar: enter at least one character to see the results
  • Clicking on a column leads the focus to the column in the sheet view
  • All formulas that belong to a column are displayed

Description#

  • Adding or viewing a description is possible

Viewing the Information#

To get the information:

  1. Double-click the Workbook in your File Browser. The Workbook is opened.

  2. Select the tab "Sheet" in the Workbook Inspector on the right side.

  3. View the information.
