Migration Module

The Migration module supports moving workflows from Datameer Classic to Datameer Cloud. Users can upload exported Datameer Classic entity definitions and migrate them directly into Datameer Cloud projects.

The module lets you explore your legacy entities, select the workflows you want to migrate, and generates a best-effort Datameer Cloud project. You can then map input data and refine the project until the dataset is fully represented in Datameer Cloud.

Note

The Migration module requires the Jobs module to be enabled.

Key Concepts

Migration Project

A Migration Project is a workspace for importing and converting Datameer Classic entity definitions into Datameer Cloud. Each Migration Project tracks the state of a migration effort and provides tools to map and validate the converted outputs.

Entities

The module works with the following Datameer Classic entity types:

Import Job	Classic data ingestion definitions
Workbook	Classic transformation and analysis workbooks
Export Job	Classic data export definitions

Getting Started

Contact your Datameer account representative to enable the Migration module. You will also need the Jobs module active before migration features become available.
